I found this on youtube. The sins of not being able to go to sleep :) I actually have the full recording of this myself but never thought to share it on the web.So someone has, so I thought I'd share it with you. I do have to say that it is one of the best recording of 'Stars' because it is straight off the sound-desk, and the sound is the best you can get. Have a listen and you'll see what I mean.

ReplyDeleteI just like the way you mainly hear his voice as the recording are directly off the mics. It doesn't get bundled up with too much music drowning out his singing. Sometimes that can be a bit of a problem in the mix. I always think the 10th Anniversary concert did that a bit. Because Philip's voice is so powerful they toned down his mic. He is a lot more powerful singer than Colm but you never really get to hear it until he does his solos.
