The reason for it all!

I thought I'd put on here my original posting to the 'Philip Quast Guide' messages board. I'd never really said anything about Philip before, but it seems to have kicked off my creative juices and resulted in this blog. The post was called 'Secret Indulgence'.

I called this 'Secret Indulgence' because for me that is what PQ has been since 1988. I first remember seeing him on 'Sons and...' when I was absolutely hooked on the Aussie soaps which came into the UK. There was this bloke I got hooked on and have been ever since. You can guess who...! 

And it occurred to me only the other day that its been a long and varied time for me. I've worked in theatre and lately retail (!). I've had ups and downs, am still single (too pig-headed) and probably drive my family mad. But through it all (well my adult life anyhow), there has always been a PQ theme running alongside.

Whether it be in musicals, tv, film or theatre I try to see and hear what I can. I've been fickle, other interests take me away, but I always come back.

Some would say 22 years is a long time for anyone. Even prison sentences don't last that long. But I'm still here, and still a fan! 

Those late nights watching 'Ultraviolet'. Those days when I feel down and I positively murder 'Les Mis' singing 'Stars', or those quiet moments listening to 'Letting You Go'.

Philip Quast you are my secret indulgence, and yes you are a star
