Quast now based in Oz??

In a snippet from Mark Shenton's blog in 'The Stage', Philip Quast is now based in Australia. Good news for all his Aussie fans, not so good for the rest of us :( But my best wishes and good luck to all his adventures back in Oz.

"It was splendid to see them all on the same stage, and proves once again the strength in numbers of Aussie musical talent which has also stretched from Hugh Jackman to three-time Olivier winner Philip Quast in the West End. (Quast is now based in Australia again, after living in London for over twenty years, and by coincidence my partner and I had a long lunch at his Sydney home before we went to seeAnnie; the next day he left for Melbourne, to begin rehearsals to lead the company of the Australian premiere of Yes Prime Ministeropening in Melbourne at the end of January)."

OT: All change for Mary Poppins

The two female leads in 'Mary Poppins' - Verity Hunt-Ballard and Marina Prior are 'taking a break' from their roles as Mary Poppins and Winifred Banks respectively. The roles are now to be played by Scarlett Strallen and Pippa Grandison.

I'd like to take the opportunity to wish both actresses well in their roles.

The article by 'Stage Whispers' is here. Thanks to the excellent Philip Quast Guide who brought this to my attention :)

Philip's 'Stage Whispers' interview in on-line mag

I've been trawling the internet and come across the on-line version for the 'Stage Whispers' magazine which has the interview 'Mary Poppins solves Philip Quast's mid-life crisis'. I know that it available as a single interview elsewhere but this is a bit of fun as you can read this and the rest of the issue as an on-line mag. It is quite fun flipping the pages :D

Check it out on the link below. I hope you enjoy it :) :) Oh by the way, it is pages 24-25 on the slide index at the bottom of the page if you want to go straight there!
