A Country Practice - On a sheep's back

I've been on my hunt around youtube again. Don't you just love them :) And I found the episode that has Philip Quast as Billy Webb. I love hearing Philip in full Aussie flow :D :D



Have fun watching this. I used to watch 'A Country Practice' all the time along with 'Sons and Daughters' so this brings back memories along with seeing Philip from back then. Memories indeed :D

Trying something a bit different - a wallpaper

Thought I'd try a little something different. A screen cap made into a wallpaper. So I've taken one tiny screen cap, blown it up and made it Black and White,and put tape on it. I quite like the tape. Makes it look as though you've stuck it to your PC :D :D

Extension of Mary Poppins show dates

Showbiz in Australia are now doing pre-sale tickets for Mary Poppins till the 27th February 2011. The show is expected to end in Melbourne in approximately March/April 2011, with then a possible transfer to the Capitol Theatre in Sydney from that date. Any information I can find out I'll let you know :)

Something a friend said :)

It was something a friend said in an email that got me thinking. She likes Philip as he is now and is a recent fan. While I've been a fan, as you know if you read 'The reason for it all', for 25 nearly 26 years. I've liked him since 'Sons and Daughters'; she a recent convert as 'La Cage Aux Folles' seemed to do it for her. And I wondered what makes a fan?? I've grown up always liking Philip and follow everything he does to a certain extent. Some may say obsessively (!) but it is just I've been at it for so long. I've got a lot of stuff!!! ;) It's like he has almost become part of the furniture. He is my comfy sofa :) And I like that! My mate, on the other hand, absolutely adores him. As do I but in a different way. And I thought that both our views are completely valid. It doesn't matter how long we've liked him, it's just that we do!!

I can't decide...

...and probably never will :)

As in the UK Inspector Morse in on the tv in a couple of weeks, and also I have to visit our charming local hospital this week - a screen cap from said programme 'The Wench is Dead'.

Now if my Doctor looked like this I wouldn't mind going. But unfortunately I've yet to see one who does :D :D

Army Wives - a couple of snaps!

Would you believe what I found on my mobile phone? A couple of snaps from 'Army Wives'. Yes I do have the 'naughtier' ones too but they are not really for on here ;D So here are the couple I can give you - all tidied up and redone in lovely sepia and Black and White. They are not bad considering they are literally screen captures as I had the phone shooting the tv screen at the time. I do some funny old things at times. Who ever thought these would actually come in handy ? :D :D

Sons and Daughters clip

I know I shouldn't have started watching these as I've got hooked again on 'Sons and Daughters'. It's just so much fun. After watching Philip in his first appearance in it, I finally cracked on and have watched a few more. This is another of the early ones in Philip's run but its a good one. Have a look, and watch Philip get a bit hot-headed :)

Time for a new Sunday Snap!

I got thinking to what is my earliest picture of Philip I've got, and I think these are them. But I could be wrong but any excuse for a picture on a Sunday when it is going SSOOOO slow and I've been got so fed up I'm listening to the top 100 hits on tv. Even worse is I'm not even sure what the top 100 it is of!! So a couple of pics :) Oh and the top 100 is apparently hits of the noughties(?)

It is a film that doesn't seem to surface that much but I really like it. It's nice to see Philip playing a bit of a nasty character, and a womanising local cop, is a good meaty role. Certainly no Mr Banks :D

Mary Poppins - Australian site updated

Hi there,

Just a quick post to say Disney/CML have now updated their official Australian website
. The pictures have all been released before in various guises around the internet but it is nice to get one of the Banks family (ie Philip :D :D ) finally on the official site where it should be. It's a step in the right direction which, for a company like Disney, has been a long time coming. All I can say is more please; and thank you for finally hearing us Philip Quast and Mary Poppin's fans. :)

It made me giggle :)

Mark Shenton's blog for the UK 'The Stage' is always good reading, and what with him being a friend of Philip's; his quotes attributed to Philip always make me laugh. This week's is a corker! Especially when you throw John Barrowman into the mix :) So don't expect it to be particularly clean :D
