Just a quick post to say thanks to all who have kept me up to date with items for Mary Poppins over the last few days. Thanks Angela and Paul. Mary Poppins at Her Majesty's Theatre has had its run extended until the 14th November according to Ticketek.com. Details on their webpage . I have no doubt this will extend again sometime in the near future :)

A wonderful review of 'Mary Poppins' by Cara Dinley designs. One of the more comprehensive reviews of the actual show so far. All the reviews coming out of Oz at the moment seem fairly positive. Not long till opening night. Roll on next week!!

Seems that after the Melbourne run, 'Mary Poppins' may be going on tour. Whether that means Philip will go on tour too has yet to be determined. See the relevant article as usual by clicking the link.

Mary Poppins preview - snippets of info

It seems all is quiet on the 'Mary Poppins' front as far as most of the media is concerned at the moment. However the first preview did have the 'house full' sign out. And various people who went to see it, and also the 'family and friends' night; have said it is 'Awesome'. And the Oz blog 'The Mystery in Musicals' are quoted as saying it "went off without a hitch, leaving audiences spellbound".

I'm looking forward to hearing what the audiences and members of the press say. And hopefully some pictures from the show. Though they may not be till opening night :(

Nice to know somethings count in this world.

I read this short article on Broadwayworld.com about the money raised by 'Night of 1000 voices' of which Philip Quast was one of the head-liners. Amazing result! Well done to all involved.

It's nearly here!

By this time tomorrow UK time, it will all be up and running. I mean, of course, the previews for 'Mary Poppins'.  The first one will have finished and I for one will be trawling the internet for reviews.

So to that end, I send my best wishes to cast and crew for tomorrow (especially the wonderful Mr Q!!), and here's to a long and successful run. Break a leg Guys and Gals!!

The 'Night of 1000 Voices' website now has a gallery of this year's event. There are a couple of pictures of Philip on there. One of which I haven't seen before - 'The Ballad of Sweeney Todd'. On the basis of this alone the site is well worth a look.

Less than two weeks now!

Doesn't time fly by? It seems like only yesterday fans of Philip were lamenting him going to Australia from here in England. We did not want him to go back to Oz it seems. I think if we could have kidnapped him after 'Night of 1000 voices', we would have :)

Now it is TWO months later, and it is less than two weeks until the first previews of 'Mary Poppins'. The sets are in, the final rehearsals are being done and the technical and dress rehearsal won't be far off. Then it will be action stations and Opening Night! Flights even now are being booked by people to go and see Philip play 'Mr Banks'. If nothing else Philip Quast's fans are a dedicated bunch!

So this picture is dedicated to that bunch. Long may we reign :D
